HOW TO PERMANENTLY SOLVE THE PROBLEM?
The most important is that implemented measures are adapted to local circumstances. For that to happen, we need to look more closely in our own backyard, meaning our community. We need to understand the complexity and roots of the problem.
WE NEED TO ASK OURSELVES, DO WE KNOW THE FOLLOWING:

How many abandoned dogs are in our local community?
And how many owned dogs?
What are community attitudes?
Do owners sterilise their dogs?
Abandon them?
Negligently leaving their gates open?
Do we know how important is the factor of human irresponsibility?
And how big capacities are, in terms of human and other resources ready for action?
ONLY WHEN WE KNOW ANSWERS TO ALL THESE QUESTIONS, WE CAN PLAN FOR SUCCESSFUL SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM:
determine priority measures,
assess how much the implementation of these measures will cost the local self-government and
how much time will be needed to achieve the desired effect.
By applying the model ‘FOR PEOPLE AND DOGS’, we can provide answers to key questions which are necessary for solving the problem successfully and develop a tailor-made plan for the local community.
